GQ's 'Most imaginative' bartender finalist creates cool cocktails

As temperatures rise, we're on the lookout for ways to beat the heat. Topping our list? Cool cocktails.

Edison Food + Drink Lab is known for their one-of-a-kind items. Mixologist, Ryan Pines is always concocting something new behind the bar. He's one of America's most imaginative bartenders, and he's right here in Tampa. Ryan was a finalist in Bombay Sapphire & GQ Magazine's 'Most Imaginative' Bartender competition in Las Vegas.

Ryan is the man behind Edison's cocktail creations, including the unique names. We stepped into his lab to show you what's in the works for Spring and Summer.

Here are Ryan's top 3 drinks to beat the heat:

1) Traditional Mai Tai

2) Funky Monkey

3) We got a sneak peek of a new drink concoction, which uses liquid nitrogen to enhance flavors and freeze the ingredients. Not to mention that it looks pretty neat. This Strawberry frozen treat has yet to be named. Any ideas?
